6 Step Fertilizing Program

This program is designed to treat various types of disease's, insects, crab grass, and weeds.  This program will help maintain healthy lawn. Apply Lime ONLY if needed to balance PH.

Step 12nd to 3rd week in March
Stonewall .43% 19-0-6 30% PolyPlus- Spring green-up is a key aspect of a well manicured and cared for lawn. This application combines the benefits of a spring green-up fertilizer and the pre-emergent crabgrass control and some early spring annual weeds.

Step 23rd to 4th week in April
Dimension .15% 19-0-7 30% PolyPlus- Dealing with crabgrass can be a constant challenge.  Dimension® herbicide is the choice for season long control of crabgrass and some early spring annual weeds.

Step 34th week in May
28-0-3 20% PolyPlus 0.7Fe- The early summer application to give minimal surge growth and minimal burn potential.  Offers up to 12 weeks of controlled release nitrogen.  A higher potassium rate is used in periods of stress and when plant hardiness is one of the primary goals and helps prepare the turf for the stressful period coming up.  Iron(Fe) is also necessary for the formation of chlorophyll resulting in a darker green turf. Included is a spray application of weed conrol using Momentum FX2 in mid-May.

Step 41st week in July
Merit .2% 24-0-8 40% PolyPlus- Grubs can do a lot of damage in a short period of time and the damage is usually done before you see any outward signs in the lawn.  During the mid 1990’s, Merit® was introduced to the turf market for season-long White Grub control.  Merit is most effective in the  early instar stages of white grubs, so preventative applications are more effective than curative.

Step 53rd week in August
28-0-3 20% PolyPlus 35% Bio 0.7Fe- Provides an unbeatable mid-summer application to give minimal surge growth and minimal burn potential.  Offers up to 12 weeks of controlled release nitrogen.  A higher potassium rate is used in periods of stress and when plant hardiness is one of the primary goals Iron(Fe) is also necessary for the formation of chlorophyll resulting a darker green turf. Included is a spray application of weed conrol using Momentum FX2.

Step 61st to 3rd week in October
32-0-8 30%PolyPlus 2Fe- This is one of the most important and often forgotten applications of the growing season.  Winterizer is important because at this time of year turf is trying to save up as much energy as possible for the winter and recover from the stresses of the season.
